Following are the excellent quotes for the Entrepreneurs from a Presentation I got from
SlideShare
“Whatever you do, don’t play it safe. Don’t do things the way they’ve always been done. Don’t try to fit the system. If you do what’s expected of you, you’ll never accomplish more than others expect.” - Howard Schultz, Starbucks.
“Take away my people, but leave my factories and soon grass will grow on the factory floors. Take away my factories, but leave my people and soon we will have a new and better factory.” - Andrew Carnegie

A good set of points from Found Read that narrates the need to concentrate on when you are gearing up for a startup.
- Lack of focus
- Lack of discipline
- Overuse of buzz words
- No balance amongst founders
- Thinking you know anything when you start
- Making money or making a difference
- Hiring people: Quantity over quality
- Avoiding responsibility
- Planning too far or not at all
- Suffering for the cause

I Use to keep my Laptop play some song for me even after I completely drown into sleep. But It is mandatory to switch off sounds originating from your computer during meetings and late nights[if you are not sleeping alone]. A Tool for shutting your computers mouth.
A tool called Mute is available for Windows that can help you schedule such things in Windows. A detailed How To is available at Inspect MY Gadget.
A similar tool for Mac is described in lifehacker - Mute Helper for Mac.

I always strive for broadening my thoughts and knowledge. It is not a special one. Almost 99% of the world tries to do that. Recently I switched from
Bloglines to Google for my RSS Reading. It has a wonderful feature called Discover which introduces new feeds to you based on your previous reading. Initially I thought It would help me explore new horizons. But later it helps to refine my feed reading on the particular subject I am reading and not helping me move out of the borders. On a broader spectrum, I understood it is not possible for a tool to suggest you where you should explore more. Only age and your broader view and the spark happening in you when you come across some technology can help you do this.
Tune your ears and eyes to be open for anything new you hear and see. Good luck on your venture of reading.
Looking out for a tool that can suggest me something like this.
Cheers,
Ranjith
