Thoppur Ghats and Railway Line
We traveled from Bangalore to Erode on last Sunday. We boarded the train in B’lore @ 6:15 am. The train crossed the Dharmapuri around 8:30 AM and I was on train on this line for the first time. It was a wonderful view out with full of hills and valleys to watch. Nature looked more attractive that it was able to move my eyes off a beautiful gal near me on to it. The train runs on the track laid at the edges of the ghats. Will really love to travel on the track on a sunny evening around 5 to 6 PM, when the golden rays of the dusking sun falls on it!!!

[…] May 9, 2008 at 9:39 am · Posted On Me MySelf, Chennai It is not a long journey. It is a drive down the ECR for 40 Kms. I want to call it a trip as we enjoyed the drive around the ECR. I always love the travel than the destination. But we used to go stead fast to reach the destination. Even though it was a very short drive, we drove slowly and stopped at a few places to have fun. We had Nongu - the fruit of the one kind of Palm trees. Tasting it after a long time. But it did not reflect the taste of our home grown trees or may be the trees of the South TamilNadu. Coming to the purpose of the visit to TTDC, we were there to swim. The pool is really good with a 12 feet deep area of better sized @ 12 m breadth and 15m width. Had a great time out there. We visited Aquatic Complex @ Velachery main road some six months. This is around 50 m long stretches and 7 ft low and you cannot dive in. […]
