“Flow with whatever is happening and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate.” - Chuang Tzu

I work @ a concern in Velachery. I used to have breakfast some time in a small hotel. The hotel used to serve food on the table. After a very long gap of 7 months, I stepped in yesterday and found everything changed to Self Service. I was thinking about the merits and demerits of both way of service done.
Self Service :
- Less amount of labour involved.
- Pay and consume and there is no chance of miscalculation and missing what is served.
Served on Table :
- The amount of food consumed per visitor is more.
- More care shown to the customer and causes more people to return.
Both has its own merits and demerits. Self Service is good for crowded and most happening place and Served on Table will be good for Hotels that needs more return visitors and less crowded area.
I am more lazy in eating food and I will always prefer a served on table food rather than a self service. Self Service in Bufet comes under a different umbrella.
How about you?

Stress is an important nature of the Human being which drives Man in both directions. We can apply a 80/20 rule to this. Positive stress will provide good results and improvements in life. But this occupies only 20% of the total stress experienced by people. We don’t call them as Stress and we put a positive term called positive thoughts. Usually most people get stressed over unwanted things. One of the major problem of stress is “What others will think of me? and what will others say if I do this?”. This is really an unwanted question to be asked to yourself. Do you thing that the others is going to feed your dinner. Do you know they will say some time later, “You should have done that?”. Ignore people who talk against you. The comments passed on you are only 20% valid and real comments and rest are all those to be thrown into dust bins.

GTalk has a feature that shows you as idle only if you are away from your computer atleast 10 minutes. There are situations where you don’t want to get disturbed from your friends or by a Chat.
www.galwaysidle.com (for Windows XP/Vista) has a good utility to make yourself idle always.

Check out and have fun.
