I was to Vijaya Hospital, Vadapalani today morning for a blood donation. I had a low pressure today morning for some reasons. They even denied to recheck my blood pressure one more time to certify me to donate blood. But the interesting thing I noted on a booklet is the list to Dos and Don’ts to be followed after the donation.

Dos:

• Drink more liquids than normal for a few hours.
• Ead a good Meal.
• Raise your arm above head if it is bleeding at the extraction point.
• Resume Normal activity after 30 min.
• In case of any dizzyness keep your head at a lower position than rest of the body.
• remove the bandage after 8 hours.

Don’ts :

• Avoid Alcohol for the day.
• Avoid Smoke for next 30 min [ Atleast.]
• Stressful job for the rest of the day.

Very good points to be followed.
