Courtallam - The season is ONNN!!!
My home town is very nearer to Courtallam , a place that has nine waterfalls and a lot of medical herbals around the hills. kuthalam is the way people around the place will call it. This is the time of visit this place. It mostly starts from the second to third week of june and goes till end of august or early september.
I was out to my home town last week on to a personal assignment. Last saturday was a full moon day and it is one of the auspicious day and we use to do some special pooja at our house. I was little dreaming of viewing the hills on the Full Moon Day. To my surprise we sketched a plan to visit Courtallam that night after the pooja. Myself, brother, father and a couple of our friends started on our Omni. The drive was very nice due to the little rain and the cold climate. The full moon on the skies added to the most of the beauty. We were there around 10:30 pm. The drizzling continued. I was there under the fall for around half an hour. The rain increased a bit and water started pouring with little more venom and we thought of leaving the place by then. We were back home around 11:45 pm. Enjoyed the fall and the drive.
It reminded me of our trip a couple of years back with the Mannars gang. We were there at Courtallam for a cull night. At that point of time we visited the Paalaruvi Which is inside Kerela. This fall was a wonderful one due to the water color and the height from which it fallls.
