Why You should Blog !!!

Tim Bray Writes Why You should Blog ??

1. You have to get noticed to get promoted.
2. You have to get noticed to get hired.
3. It really impresses people when you say “Oh, I’ve written about that, just google for XXX and I’m on the top page” or “Oh, just google my name.”
4. No matter how great you are, your career depends on communicating. The way to get better at anything, including communication, is by practicing. Blogging is good practice.
5. Bloggers are better-informed than non-bloggers. Knowing more is a career advantage.
6. Knowing more also means you’re more likely to hear about interesting jobs coming open.
7. Networking is good for your career. Blogging is a good way to meet people.
8. If you’re an engineer, blogging puts you in intimate contact with a worse-is-better 80/20 success story. Understanding this mode of technology adoption can only help you.
9. If you’re in marketing, you’ll need to understand how its rules are changing as a result of the current whirlwind, which nobody does, but bloggers are at least somewhat less baffled.
10. It’s a lot harder to fire someone who has a public voice, because it will be noticed.

The Treat Starts ..!

That was a great show today at Basera in the ECR of Chennai. We have started our new set of treat from our lunch group. We started around 7 pm today from office and drive down on the ECR and a good party in the evening…!

We are back around 10:40 PM. The only thing we missed to take for the treat in my new camera.

Had a lovely time and we guys have promised to continue this and our next treat falls on Jan 4…..

Escape from Rain

The rain that happened last week was much more adverse than the previous onces.

But luckly, I was out of town for the three days, Friday , Saturday and Sunday. All compound walls which were seen last time were not seen this time.

Unluckily, I missed the great oppurtunity of witnessing such an event..

Let’s wait for this weekend rains…

Forced Unsecure Violation on a Safety Measure

Chennai - Guindy - Railway Station SubWay.

I was moving back from Airport after receiving my sister from US. I was dropped at the Guindy Estate Side on our way back home from Airport. I parked my bike on the other side of the railway station as this will be easy to reach my place of velachery. It was around 11:30 PM. I went to cross the road using the subway, I witnessed the closed subway. When inquired about this to a Auto Wala, “the subway will be closed at 10 pm every day. I was left with a great question, “How to cross the road?”. There is no other subway to cross the road and Every one in chennai know how our drivers will drive at that hour in the pretty broad GST road.

Soon I was witnessing people crossing the road.

I too have no other way, since I have to walk down another 200 m [ guessing] south to see a pedeastrain crossing which our drivers will notice at this point of time on their driving.

The traffic and police has to look for some better ways to do these kind of closure of subways at nights. There will be more people crossing the road at this juncture [ my assumption].

why should a subway be closed after 10 PM? I am looking for answers……
